I know, I know we are lousy parents because we don’t take gobs of pictures and post them on the blog. Sorry if we are too busy having a great time with the boys. Here is what we have been up to this summer. I will start with a verbal recap and then you can look at the pictures.

Father’s Day was great, Marisela surprised me with dinner at my favorite restaurant (Texas de Brazil aka Endless Meat) with the Kevers, it was fun having all the kids with us at a fancy place. Next Seth loves hats, but only for about 20 seconds so we take pictures when we can. He also had his second hair cut and we are realizing he is going to need them frequently. Seth and Joel are starting to play together…well Seth plays with Joel, Joel laughs at first and then cries, but it is still fun to watch. We went to Colorado for a week and manage to take zero pictures, sorry, but we have lots of family and friends that took some, so maybe we will put some up here sometime. Joel got sick for the first time and had a high fever which is no fun, but especially when Dallas has a high fever too. We like to stay cool at the pool and places with water shooting out. Seth loves the water a little too much, it is scary. Then just a few days ago we went to the library for an awards party for the summer reading program which Seth took part in. I know what you are thinking wow he is only two and he can read. No, he is only two and can almost sit through a reading of a whole book! Regardless we were extremely proud of him, he loves books and hope this is the first of many awards. Joel is growing so fast and is at the beginning stages of semi-solid foods and crawling. Boys sure are fun. Marisela is a great mom and I love being a dad and husband. I’ll shut up now and let you see the pictures.

Has anyone seen Seth?

Joel comes from a long line of ticklish Linebargers and mommy can’t resist. Can you blame her, the laugh is too sweet!

Getting Seth’s hair cut was a decision Marisela and I have been dealing with for months. His beautiful long curly hair was hard to let go of, but he had been called a girl one too many times. We were nervous of how he would handle it too, but he exceeded our expectations again.  We took him to a place where he could sit in a racecar (he loves cars) and watch Elmo (he loves Elmo more than cars) while he got his haircut. Don’t worry it was just a trim and its still curly!

We celebrated with a good new cut and being well behaved with ice cream. Coincidently it was his first ice cream cone too (by himself).
